Kids Hope USA...
Unity has partnered with Challenger Elementary, a Kentwood school, for quite a few years now in the Kids Hope program. Mentors from Unity are paired up with students at Challenger who may need a little extra attention in their lives. For an hour each week, the mentors spend quality time one-on-one with their student doing homework, playing games, reading, or doing something special together. There are group activities several times a year and the mentors really develop a close and meaningful relationship with their students throughout the school year.
If you are interested in mentoring a child for an hour a week, please call the church office toay for more information. There is always a need for mentors.
